Rotherham United continue their battle to avoid relegation to League One. They are in the final relegation place (22nd) and travel to in-form 12th placed Luton Town. Saturday saw Rotherham end a run of five straight losses in the Championship to draw 1-1 at home to Blackburn Rovers. They have two games to play and wins at Luton and then Cardiff would keep them up unless Derby beat Sheffield Wednesday by a massive scoreline. Just one win from the last two will see them stay up if Derby lose their final game at home to Sheffield Wednesday. Lots of different permuations then but the superior goal difference of Rotherham (if you can call -16 that) could save them. The problem is their current form with one point from six games and no goals in their last four away matches. Rotherham have only scored in two of their last eight on the road, so getting at least three points from their final two away games isn't an easy task. Five of their last six league matches have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. As for away league matches, only one of the last eight haven't seen the under 2.5 goals stat be a winner.
Luton Town were in relegation trouble last year but survived. They begin this game in 12th place and in with a chance of a top ten finish. They are in good form and on a five-match unbeaten league run. The weekend saw them draw with Middlesbrough 1-1. Only one of their last five home league fixtures has been lost with three clean sheets in those matches. Not good news for goal-shy Rotherham. Five of Luton's last six home league games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. 31 out of 44 in the Championship this season have seen that stat come up, 15 out of 22 at home. A bet on under 2.5 goals is the tip, a side bet on a Luton win is a possible winner.
