Leicester v Burnley Betting Tips [25 September 2021]

Leicester carry a losing run into Saturday's Premier League game against Burnley at the King Power Stadium. The Foxes have come close to claiming Champions League football in recent seasons, but the prospect of playing in Europe's top club competition looks more remote than ever after their poor start to the campaign. They are in 12th place after five matches, the last two of which they lost. There is already a six-point gap between themselves and fourth place, currently occupied by Brighton. As Burnley can attest, though, it could be worse. The Clarets are 19th, having picked up only one point from their five fixtures thus far. Leicester are undefeated in three of their last four games against Burnley. In their previous ten home meetings with Burnley, they are unbeaten, winning four of the most recent five. Burnley's poor form carries over from last season; they have lost seven of their previous eight league fixtures. 

While Leicester stuck out as a growing force in the league in recent seasons, there has been nothing remarkable about their start to the campaign. Their top scorer is Jamie Vardy with three goals, and while it's good to see the evergreen forward perform, it is worrying for Brendan Rodgers that he remains dependent on the veteran striker. Leicester have not kept a clean sheet in the league since the opening day, and we see their backline struggling against the burly might of Burnley's attack. Ultimately, Leicester deserve to be favourites to prevail, but we believe a better bet than the home side is on both teams to score, an outcome which occurred on the last five occasions that these sides faced each other.
