Leeds United will be at home against Chelsea in their next game in the Premier League. The two sides have both registered four points from their opening two matches, and they are placed sixth and seventh respectively in the standings. Going into this game Leeds blew a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Southampton, undoing all the good work seen in their comeback on the opening weekend to beat Wolves 2-1. Heading into this game, Leeds’ last three matches have produced over 2.5 goals and both teams have scored in each of the last four. They have scored two or more goals in the last three games and they have no clean sheet in the last five matches.
Chelsea are coming from a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur, a game they led twice but allowed Spurs back in, and in the end dropped two points. They conceded the final goal in stoppage time, sparking a spat between the two managers, which saw both tacticians red carded. Chelsea, unbeaten in their last three matches, will want to quickly move on, and having only failed to score in one of their last five matches, this looks like a possible mission. They are unbeaten in eight meetings with Leeds United and have only lost once in 11. In the last six meetings, the Blues have won five times.
Chelsea have the edge here but we doubt they will be able to get out of it unscathed. Leeds United have Rodrigo Moreno, who has done well in the opening two games and he will be fired up for this. Goals on both ends is a possibility here, but over 2.5 goals is likeliest.
