Roma currently sits fifth with a record of 14 wins, five draws and seven defeats, for a points total of 47. Jose Mourinho’s men are through to the quarter final of the Europa League after prevailing 2-0 aggregate winner’s over Real Sociedad. Roma’s last outing resulted in a 0-0 away draw against La Real, which was preceded by a wild 4-3 home loss to Sassuolo. Aside from the loss to Sassuolo, Mourinho’s Roma side has been defending very well. They’ve managed to keep a clean sheet in five of the last seven matches. However, Roma will have to contend with a Lazio team that leads the Serie A in clean sheets with 15.

Both managers come into this matchup having to deal with fixture congestion following their teams’ participation in UEFA competitions. The oddsmakers are clearly favoring a hard-fought, low-scoring affair as they set the goals total line at only 2. Lazio manager will be without main striker Ciro Immobile as the 32-year-old continues to miss out. His absence has been sorely felt as Lazio has overall struggled to score consistent goals over recent weeks, netting just four goals in the last six games.
