The final matchday in the UEFA Nations League Group 2C sees Kosovo hosting Cyprus at the Fadil Vokrri Stadium in Pristina. Although Greece has already wrapped up the top spot in the group, all three remaining teams could still themselves finish bottom and thus suffer relegation to League D in next season’s competition. An excellent 1-0 home for Cyprus against the group leaders Greece in the last round of fixtures has dragged the White and Blues right back into the thick of things and they currently sit third with five points. Kosovo are coming off back-to-back losses after a tough 2-1 away defeat to Northern Ireland which saw them squander a one goal lead with 10 minutes left in the match. The result leaves the Dardanians with just a slim one point lead over Cyprus and Northern Ireland as they sit second with a 2-0-3 record.
Kosovo has looked much improved on home soil in recent matches, winning two of their last three outings at the Fadil Vokrri Stadium. They were able to pick up an impressive 3-2 win over 58th ranked Northern Ireland their last time on this ground and were unlucky to walk away empty handed in their most recent 2-1 loss as they created three clear cut chances to their opponents two. In their last three matches, two of which were away from home, Kosovo has created a total of six clear cut chances while also allowing six. The hosts should as well take confidence having beaten Cyprus 2-0 away in the first fixture of the group stage back in June. The Dardanians were good value for the three points on the day, soundly outplaying their opponents with 16 total shots, 10 coming inside the opposition penalty area, and two clear cut chances created while holding Cyprus to zero.
