Juventus have climbed out of the Serie A relegation zone (not something often written) and are up to 12th. They look to get a second league win of the season when hosting Sampdoria who are a place below them. Juventus made a terrible start to the new season and of course also lost the services of Cristiano Ronaldo. A run of one point from three games saw them down at the bottom of the table. Form has finally improved though with a good win at Malmo in the Champions League, a 1-1 home draw with Milan and most recently, a 3-2 win at Spezia. They trailed 2-1 in that game until two goals in six minutes saw them take the lead. Juventus have one point from their two home league games this season as they start a week that includes the visit of European champions Chelsea in the Champions League.
Sampdoria are only behind Juventus on goal difference. They had gone three league games without defeat before being hammered 4-0 at home by Napoli on Thursday. It could have been more as the final Napoli goal came in the 59th minute. That was their second league defeat of the season, the other being a 1-0 home loss to Milan in their opening game. Their only win has been a 3-0 away win at Empoli with Caputo netting twice. Their last five away visits to Juventus have all been lost with 16 goals conceded. Juventus are already seven points behind fourth place and won't want to lose any more ground. Back them to get a home win.
