Italy v Switzerland Betting Tips [16 June 2021]

Italy played in the first match of Euro 2020 and may well be in the last one too. They take on Switzerland in Rome in their second match in Group A after beating Turkey 3-0 in their opening match. Switzerland could only draw with Wales, so the first set of games in this group ended with Italy two points clear at the top of the group. They may not start their second match at the top, a Wsles win over Turkey earlier in the day would take them into first place. Italy should be able to win this match though and guarantee themselves a place in the knockout rounds. They are now unbeaten in their last 28 matches, last losing in September 2018. Italy have won their last nine games and not conceded a single goal in any of them. They are unbeaten in their last eight games against the Swiss with four of the last five drawn but no games in the past 11 years.

Switzerland thought they had scored  a winner against Wales on Saturday but VAR ruled it offside. They will be disappointed at not starting Euro 2020 with a win after taking the lead against the Welsh. A defeat here would leave them needing to get something from their final match against Turkey. Switzerland had won six matches in a row before Saturday's stalemate in Baku. Their away form is not inspiring at all. They won in Bulgaria in March but that's their only victory in their last six with two in the last ten. Back Italy to win this and have a side bet on them winning to nil.
