It shows how strong a squad you have when it's possible to leave Diogo Jota on the bench. Liverpool did that on Sunday but will he play in this Champions League last 16 first leg at Inter. If he doesn't, then what a sub to be able to bring on. Liverpool won 1-0 at Burnley on Sunday making it five wins in a row in all competitions. They are unbeaten in eight matches since losing to Leicester just after Christmas. Liverpool didn't have the easiest of group draws with Milan, Atletico Madrid and Porto to face. However, they won all six games, scoring at least twice in each match and hit ten goals on their travels. Six of their last eight away matches in the Champions League have been won.
Inter are in the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time since 2012. They finished second behind Real Madrid in the group stages. Three out of six matches were won but they lost home and away to Real. Their Serie A title defence is going well but they slipped to second place at the weekend. Inter drew 1-1 at Napoli and saw Milan go top by a point. Inter do have a game in hand though. Only two of their last seven home Champions League games have been won. Liverpool can get the win here.
