The win over Slavia was only Dortmund’s second in their last seven Champions League matches. This run saw them lose three matches, all without scoring. Indeed, Dortmund’s Champions League matches have been low scorers over the last couple of seasons. Six of their last seven matches in the competition have produced under 2.5 match goals. Even playing away from home, Dortmund have seen low scorers in the competition. Four of their last five Champions League away matches have produced under 2.5 match goals.

Inter Milan have had a stuttering start to their Champions League campaign and need a win to get back on track. Borussia Dortmund haven’t really dominated on their travels in the Champions League, which should give the hosts some hope. Either way, this match could be set for a low-scorer.
