Inter begin the weekend second in Serie A, two points behind leaders Napoli. They host Atalanta who are fifth in the table, three points below them. Inter are undefeated in Serie A this season with four wins and a draw against Sampdoria. It should be five wins out of five but they twice let slip a lead in that drawn game. Their most recent victory was a 3-1 win at Fiorentina in midweek. They went behind in that game but three second half goals sealed victory. That's nine goals in their last two Serie A games, who needs Lukaku? Inter have scored ten goals in two home league games this season and 23 in their last five. The Serie A champions have won their last 18 home league games and that includes a 1-0 victory over Atalanta in March. They are unbeaten in their last seven home Serie A games against Atalanta, last losing to them in 2014.
Atalanta have a big week ahead of them. Firstly they travel to Inter, then a home Champions League game against Young Boys and the visit of AC Milan next weekend. They have won three of their Serie A games this season. Their only loss has been a 2-1 home loss to Fiorentina in which all three goals were scored from the penalty spot. Atalanta have won their last two Serie A games with a 1-0 win at newly-promoted Salernitana (bottom of the table) and a 2-1 home win over Sassuolo who have lost three in a row. On their travels, Atalanta have only lost one of their last 18 games in Serie A. That sole defeat was at Inter and the defending champions can get another win over Atalanta. A side bet on a win with both teams scoring looks a possible winner.
