Hull v West Brom Betting Tips [9 November 2019]

Hull welcome table-toppers West Brom to the KCOM Stadium on matchday 16 as the race for points in the Championship intensifies. The Tigers have recorded three wins on the spin and they have prowled up the table to 11th on 22 points just three shy of the play-off places. Grant McCann’s side gained an invaluable three points last weekend with a shocking but brilliant 3-0 win against Fulham at Craven Cottage following on from previous wins over Derby and Nottingham Forest.  

Now the ultimate test awaits in Slaven Bilic’s West Brom side who continue to lead the way atop of the Championship on 30 points, two ahead of the chasing pack consisting of Preston, Leeds and Swansea. The Baggies have remained consistent losing just once so far this season most recently defeating Stoke 2-0 on Monday last. This was a third win in five since their sole loss to Leeds and a welcome return to winning ways after back-to-back 2-2 draws to keep the others at arm’s length. 

Hull’s record at home this season sees them on three wins whilst losing and drawing twice and at this venue last season they were 1-0 winners over the Baggies. However, West Brom have won three of their last four away games and all games were won to-nil. 

17 of the 30 Championship games involving these teams this season have seen over 2.5 goals. On average games at this ground this season have contained three goals with goals at each end in five of the eight games here. 

Hull seemed to have turned a corner of late but West Brom appear to have shaken off a few cobwebs of their own and they are the best side in the league away from home. With the number of goals scored at the KCOM Stadium this year I expect this one to follow suit and I’m going to tip a West Brom win and over 2.5 goals in the game.
