After a 3-0 loss at Blackburn Rovers, Hull City dropped one position to fifteenth in the Championship, while visitors Swansea remained ninth following a 0-0 loss to Derby County.
The two teams clash in the thirty third match of the season on Valentines Day and it is certain that the match will have plenty of thrills as Hull seeks to narrow the seven-point gap between them and the Swans. Swansea will also come out strong as they hope to gain the three points needed for them to enter the promotion play-off territory.
The Tigers have been on a downward spiral since January and have lost five of their last six league games. They are not playing well at home either and have lost five of six games in all competitions.
The Swans are also presently struggling to gain league advantage and have only won once in six games. On the road, Swansea are in equally disastrous form winning just once in six games across all competitions.
But they travel to East Riding of Yorkshire buoyed by the fact that they beat Hull City 2-1 in the opening leg of the Championship, and could confirm a double-do over on Friday.
Even with a home advantage, it is difficult to convince anyone that Hull City have the confidence need to win. Losing five of six home games is indication enough that they are going into this game as underdogs. Swansea are not playing well on the road either, but their general demeanor indicates that they are up for improvement. As such, it is safe to predict that this match will either end with an away victory or a draw.
