Genoa host Citadella for the fifteenth round of the Italian Serie B. It has been a tough start to the life for Genoa, who were relegated in the second division after almost a lifetime in the Serie A. They have done great for themselves so far however, currently occupying thing place and just three points shy of the automatic play off places. Their form has dipped a little in recent weeks though, with their latest defeat to Perugia making it four winless games on the spin for the Genova outfit. On the upside, they have been almost faultless on home turf, being unbeaten in their last nine, winning four of those and keeping clean sheets in three of their last five.
Citadella conceded a 1-1 draw against Cosenza at the weekend. It was their third draw in five games, with the visitors currently occupying the thirteenth place in the Serie B standings. An obvious shortcoming for Citadella so far has been their profligacy up front. They have scored just twelve goals in fourteen games, blanking in six of their last ten games. They have also been quite poor on the road this season, boasting a mere win in their last eight outings. A trip to Genoa however, has been an occasion to savour rather than forget in previous meetings, with Citadella having never lost away at Genoa.
