Djokovic started the tournament with a 6-3 6-2 win over Diego Schwartzman but had to endure a 6-3 6-3 loss to Daniil Medvedev in the second match. Although Medvedev is in the best form of his life, Djokovic’s loss was an indicator that his game isn’t top notch in the tournament. The Serb had to win his final group game and did so with a 6-3 7-6 win over Alexander Zverev. Djokovic has a 41-4 win-loss record in the season and has four titles, but his form has been going downhill in the recent matches.

Recent history suggests that Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem will dish out another thriller – their last three matches have been entertaining and very close. Djokovic has lost three of his last seven matches and his form isn’t not up to his usual standards. Thiem, on the other hand, is the man to beat even though he lost to Rublev in the last group game.
