Derby County v Birmingham Betting Tips [30 January 2022]

Despite being deducted 21 points, Derby County are now only eight points from safety. They are 23rd in the Championship and host midlands rivals Birmingham City, who are 18th. County have massive problems off the pitch but at least it looks as if Wayne Rooney won't be leaving the club. They would be 15th if they hadn't had all those points deducted due to their financial problems. Derby had been unbeaten in five league games before losing at promotion-chasing Nottingham Forest last weekend. Home form has seen them only lose two of their 13 games in the Championship. Those defeats were inflicted on them by Blackburn and QPR, both currently in the top four. Derby have won four of their last five home league fixtures. The last three have all been won with clean sheets. They may well be in the bottom three but they don't play like one, especially at home.

Birmingham City are 12 points above the relegation zone, but the same number of points behind the final promotion play-off position. They have four points from their last two league games, but both were at home and against the other two sides in the bottom three. Their away form isn't great at all with just two points from their last six league fixtures and one win in 12. Birmingham have conceded 14 goals in their last four away league games.
