Bottom of the table DC United host the Eastern Conference leaders Philadelphia Union. Wayne Rooney's new team are struggling and seven points adrift at the bottom. At least unlike with Derby County last season there's no relegation from the MLS. DC United come into this game having lost three of their last four games, with both of the last two ending in defeat. They are struggling for goals with none scored in the last four matches. They last won in July when beating Orlando City at home but that's their only win in the last nine league games. Perhaps they should just play Orlando every week as they also won away to them in early July. Home form has seen them win just one of their last seven.
Philadelphia Union are five points clear of second placed Montreal but it's at home where they pile up the points. They have won eight out of 13 this season and are the only side yet to lose a home MLS fixture. On their travels, Philadelphia have won five, drawn four and lost four, still the third best record in the Eastern Conference. Their last two away games have both ended in defeat though with losses to Cincinnati and FC Dallas. That's in contrast to their last two home games that have been won by an aggregate score of 10-1. They wouldn't mind a repeat of the reverse fixture as that saw Philadelphia beat DC United 7-0 last month. Back them to win this but it's unlikely to be by that margin.
