The final game of this weekend's FA Cup first round takes place. National League Dagenham & Redbridge host League Two Salford City. The home side have spent many seasons in the English Football League but are currently eighth in the National League. just a place and two points below the final promotion play-off position. With their opponents 19th in League Two, it's not out of the question that Dagenham & Redbridge could be in a higher league than their opponents next season. They have only lost one of their last four games and just one of the last 12 at home. To make it to this stage of the FA Cup proved a tough task. They played Wealdstone away in the final qualifying round and were 1-0 down going into the 88th minute, only to fight back and win 2-1. Only one home FA Cup tie in 14 years has been lost and nine of the last 13 have been drawn.
Salford City aren't having the best of seasons. They are only four points above the relegation zone with one win in their last four games. That was a win over the Leeds United U-21 team in the EFL Trophy. Away form is not good with the last eight producing a single win and seven defeats. It's not much better in the FA Cup with one win in the last five on the road. Only one of their last six FA Cup ties has been won. There's a decent chance of an upset in this game, go for a double chance on the home side to win or draw this tie.
