After contrasting results last weekend, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth will be looking for a win on Matchday 15. Both teams are separated by just two points, as Palace start this round in tenth with 18 points, while Bournemouth are 12th with 16 points.
Palace ended their winless streak last weekend by picking up a 2-0 win at Burnley. That was their first league win since the first week of October. This sequence saw the ‘Eagles’ draw once and lose four times. Regardless, Palace have one of the worst scoring records in the league. Ahead of this fixture, the hosts have scored just 13 goals failing to score in six matches. Three of those have come in home fixtures, with two coming in their last three home Premier League matches. Palace have in fact, lost their last three home league games, conceding exactly two goals in each of those.
Bournemouth lost 3-2 to a resurgent Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend. That loss made it three in three for the ‘Cherries’, who have won just once in eight league matches. The worry or Bournemouth remains their drop in away form. They have not won in four away Premier League matches since the start of October. In four matches hence, they have picked up just one win and lost three matches. Even more worryingly, Bournemouth have failed to score in two games. Additionally, Bournemouth have won just once in their last six Premier League matches against Palace. This sequence, however, has seen three draws with Palace winning two matches.
Crystal Palace come into this encounter on the back of losing their last three home Premier League matches. They are without a home league win since the start of October. However, those three losses have come against Manchester City, Liverpool and Leicester which is no disgrace. Bournemouth have seen their league form slide and come here on the back of consecutive away league losses. We are backing the hosts to come up with a win.
