Croatia v Belgium Betting Tips [1 December 2022]

Belgium's golden generation are in deep trouble in the 2022 World Cup. They take on Croatia in their final Group F fixture and need to avoid defeat to have any chance of qualification. Croatia lead the group on four points, ahead of Morocco on goal difference. Belgium are a point behind and Canada have been eliminated after two defeats. A win for Belgium will take them into the last 16 but a defeat ends their World Cup hopes. A draw would only see them qualify if Canada get a big win over Morocco. The win over Canada is the only win they have had in their last four internationals with three defeats. Against a better team they would have lost their opening World Cup fixture. In this situation though, the Belgians have to take a major gamble.

Croatia top the group but it's not been the easiest of rides. They were held to a goalless draw by Morocco in their first game and then went a goal down to Canada. Croatia battled back well though and won that game 4-1, The 2018 finalists come into this game unbeaten in their last eight internationals. That includes a win and a draw against world champions France as well as wins over Denmark and Saudi Arabia. Only one of their last five matches against Belgium has been won. However, they look to be taking them on at just the right time. Back Croatia to get te win and knock Belgium out of the World Cup.

Croatia reached the final four years ago and are dark horses this time around. They are in good form with some notable victories in the past five months. Belgium have an aging team and the golden generation could be playing their final World Cup game. They are struggling for goals and may have to risk a less than 100% fit Romelu Lukaku.
