Chelsea are yet to lose under their new boss and start the weekend in fourth place. They face a tough match on Monday when hosting fifth placed Everton. Chelsea had a win at Anfield on Thursday (not that much of a surprise these days) to climb into the final Champions League spot. They will still hold that position when this game begins but a win for Everton will see the Merseysiders climb above them and with a game in hand. Chelsea have no losses in their last eight league matches but only two wins in the last six at Stamford Bridge. They have kept clean sheets in the last four home league fixtures but two ended goalless. Keeping Everton out might not be so easy.
Everton have won their last three league matches and are battling hard to get into the Champions League. Their coach Carlo Ancelotti was in charge of Chelsea between 2009 and 2011 and won the Premier League and FA Cup with them. He has made a big impact on Everton since joining them last season. That includes improving their away form. The past two seasons have seen them earn 38 points from the same number of games with only ten wins. This season, they have won nine out of 13 away league fixtures. That includes six of the last seven with a precious win at Anfield the highlight. A double chance bet on Everton to win or draw this game looks a great one to make.
