Cagliari v Venezia Betting Tips [1 October 2021]

Two of the bottom three clubs in Serie A clash on Friday evening. Cagliari are one from bottom and host newly-promoted Venezia who are one place above them. The home side are yet to win a league game this season with just two points from their six games. They didn't end last season well either and have now gone nine Serie A games without a win. Their last two games have both been lost 2-0 with defeats by Empoli and Napoli. They have gone five home Serie A games without a win with just one point from three games this season. That was a 2-2 draw with Spezia, in which they trailed 2-0.  Cagliari should have beaten Genoa at home but a 2-0 lead was turned into a 3-2 loss. Four of their last six league games have seen both teams score. 

Venezia are two points ahead of Cagliari and a win here would take them up to 14th in the table. They are only in the relegation zone on goal difference but it's been a shaky start to their first season in Serie A in 19 years. Their first two games of the season were lost to Napoli and Udinese. They got off the mark with a 2-1 win at Empoli. Another point looked likely but they conceded a 94th minute goal when losing at home to Spezia 2-1.  A 2-0 loss at Milan followed but their most recent game saw them come from behind to draw 1-1 with Torino. They've had a tough fixture list but could well get something from this match. Back both teams to score in this match.
