Burnley’s manager Sean Dyche will look to make his 200th Premier League match in charge memorable when his side entertains Everton at Turf Moor. Burnley are 19th in the standings with five points and two away from safety zone – although having played one game lesser. Everton are 8th in the standings with 16 points and a win away from top-three places.
Burnley were thrashed 5-0 by Manchester City in their previous match which ended their two-match unbeaten league run. Sean Dyche’s men were looking to get their season back on track after starting with five losses in the first six matches and just one point. The problem lies with their forward line that has scored only four goals so far – the joint-worst in the league together with the bottom-ranked Sheffield United. At the other end, they have already conceded 17 goals which is the joint-third most number of goals conceded. The Clarets have won their last home match 1-0 while each of their three Premier League losses have come with a scoring blank.
Everton arrive into this match on the back of a 1-0 loss to Leeds United that extended their recent poor form. After starting the league season with four straight wins and holding Liverpool to a 2-2 draw in round #5, Everton have dropped points continuously. The Toffees have lost four of their last five league games conceding at least two goals in four of those matches. Like their hosts, Everton have also conceded 17 goals this season and do not inspire confidence of breaking that rut anytime. On the road, Everton have won three of their five Premier League away games but have conceded two goals in each of their last three such matches.
