This week, Rangers are on the road when they play away to Brondby in the Europa League on Thursday. The Scottish side are third in their group, with three points from three games, putting them one point behind Sparta Prague in second. Brondby are bottom with one point. The reverse fixture between these teams was their first meeting, and Rangers emerged victoriously. They scored both of the goals in their 2-0 win in the first half. Rangers are now unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions, winning four times. Five of those matches featured both teams scoring, with the exception being the previous meeting with Brondby. Rangers have also displayed an admirable habit of coming from behind to win in three of their last four victories. However, they have failed to win eight of their previous ten away matches in the Europa League group stage, losing four times.
Brondby responded admirably to that defeat in Scotland, winning their next three matches in all competitions. That run included a 2-1 home win over title rivals FC Copenhagen. Brondby are unbeaten in their previous six home matches in all competitions, a run that includes a goalless draw with Sparta Prague. Although they have failed to win their last three home European games, the Danish champions seem primed to get a result against a travel-sick Rangers team. We suggest backing a draw.
