The English Premier League season is almost in the books and only a few matches remain as we enter matchday 36. There are a number of key battles still taking place in the league table with the title, Champions League and Europa League qualification, and relegation all still to be determined. Manchester United, however, look set to finish the season in the sixth-place position that they currently occupy. The Red Devils trail fourth-place Arsenal by five points and fifth-place Spurs by three, with both London clubs holding the advantage of two games in hand. Ralf Rangnick’s men are tasked with taking on Brighton on England’s south coast in this match. Their opponents sit ninth in the league table and have had a fantastic season under talented manager Graham Potter. After fending off relegation in Potter’s first two years at the club, Brighton has taken an impressive leap this season and have established themselves as a solid mid-table side.
There was a lot to be encouraged by in Manchester United’s latest 3-0 home win over Brentford last Monday. The performance was one of United’s best of the season and they are likely to carry over that good form into this match. The visitors have a remarkable run going against their opponents as United has won seven straight against Brighton dating back to 2019. Of these seven victories, three took place at the Amex Stadium - giving the traveling Red Devils an excellent opportunity to end an ugly away losing streak of four matches. Brighton are coming off a hugely impressive 3-0 away win against Wolves the last time out and are closing the season out strong by taking 10 points from their last five league matches. Interestingly, the majority of these positive results have come away from home as the Seagulls have failed to win in their last eight matches in front of their own fans. In fact, Brighton have been significantly better when playing away from home this season with only 16 points at home compared to 28 on the road.
We’re going to back Manchester United draw no bet as our selection for this match. At this price, it’s hard to pass up on the visitors given their most recent result and their opponents' awful home form. Especially with the protection of having our stake returned in the event of a draw. While it may be too late to make any meaningful difference in the league table, United look poised to finish this season strongly and should be able to continue their dominant streak against Brighton.
