Brentford lost to Chelsea last weekend but are still doing well in the Premier League table. They start this weekend in ninth place and host Leicester City who are two places behind them. Brentford are only three points behind fourth place but perhaps more importantly, a healthy nine above the relegation zone. They won't be thinking of a return to the Championship but there's always the chance the seond half of the season might not go so well. The loss to Chelsea last week ended a run of four league and cup games without defeat. Three of their last four games have had over 2.5 goals scored in them. Their last match against Leicester was a home FA Cup tie in January of this year and that saw City win 3-1.
Leicester had an important Europa League win at Spartak Moscow in midweek. They won that game 4-3 making it 17 goals in their last three fixtures with ten goals scored and seven conceded. They will go ahead of Brentford if winning this Premier League match. City are unbeaten in their last three games but have only one victory in five Premier League matches. Patson Daka scored all four goals in the win against Spartak Moscow making it five in two games. He came on as a sub against Manchester United last weekend and scored in the 91st minute. It'll be interesting to see if he gets more time on the pitch at Brentford. Six of the last eight Leicester games have had over 2.5 goals scored in them. That stat has also come up in all but one of their last nine away Premier League games. Bet on over 2.5 goals in this game.
