A meeting between two sides who have lost just one of their last five games respectively as Blackburn make the trip south to face Brentford at Griffin Park. Brentford drew last weekend away at Birmingham but with only one of the top six winning last weekend they maintained their spot in 4th with 55 points. As for Blackburn they are up to 8th after an impressive 2-0 win away at Charlton last time out which leaves them just three points shy of the play-offs with a total of 50.
Brentford are unbeaten in four games but they have drawn each of their last two which is stagnated their progress. Lucky for them others around them have also struggles to secure their position among the top six so they have a chance to solidify their place this weekend against one of those teams outside the play-off places and threatening to break into those positions. Only Nottingham Forest have come here and won in the Championship in Brentford’s last nine games here and the Bees have won seven of those games. Brentford have lost just three of their 16 games when hosting in the league and they have 31 points from a possible 48 this season.
As for Blackburn they are another side in great form having won back-to-back games in the last fortnight. Two wins over Hull and Charlton were both accompanied with clean sheets and away from home they are unbeaten in three so they should prove a difficult opponent in this game for Brentford. In their last five games Blackburn have racked up 10 points, a total only bettered by Birmingham and Cardiff in that time.
This should be a great meeting between two sides in good form coming into this game and it’s very hard to call a winner here. With the result a doubt it is easy to see how these sides have been going so well and that is their ability to score goals so I’m tipping both teams to score here.
