Birmingham City will target a return to winning ways when they restart their Championship campaign after the World Cup break. In their last game, they lost 2-1 at home to Sunderland. That was only their third loss in the last 10 matches. The big quality they bring into this game is their ability in attack. Birmingham have failed to score in just one of their last five matches, while they have two clean sheets in the last five. None of their last three matches has returned a clean sheet, while each of them has produced over 2.5 goals. Birmingham have scored twice in three of their last five matches, but in the last two, they’ve conceded two goals in each game. Their two wins in the last three away matches should give them confidence going into this game and they will be aiming to avenge the 6-1 loss to Blackpool in their last game.

Birmingham go into this game with the better run. They have one loss only in the last five matches and they will be keen to avoid a repeat of the 6-1 defeat in their last meeting with Blackpool. The home team’s scoring run isn’t the best even though they have the best striker in the league at the moment. Birmingham on the other hand, haven’t seemed to struggle in attack lately and we will back them to win here.
