Barcelona begin the weekend seventh in La Liga. They host fifth placed Real Betis but will still be behind them even if winning this match. Barcelona do have a game in hand on some of the teams above them but are six points adrift of fourth placed Real Sociedad. The ideal weekend would be a home win and Sociedad losing to leaders Real Madrid. Barcelona come into this game unbeaten in six league and cup games. The last two La Liga games have been won, including an impressive 3-1 win at Villarreal in their last game. Home form has only seen one win in the last three La Liga matches but they have won five out of eight this season.
Real Betis are a point behind fourth spot at the start of the weekend. They have won their last four games in all competitions and their last two in La LIga. Those wins came against Elche and Levante who are both in the bottom four at present. Before that, Betis lost league games to Atletico Madrid and Sevilla, so up against the top sides, they do tend to struggle. Away performances show that too with points being piled up against sides in the bottom half of the table. Back Barcelona to get the win here.
