La Liga champions Atletico Madrid are up against Manchester United in the Champions League last 16. The first leg sees the Spanish side with home advantage but they have been struggling in the Champions League on home soil. Atletico finished second behind Liverpool in their group with an 11 point gap to the English side. Only two out of six games were won and both came on the road at Porto and Milan. Three home group games produced just one point and they failed to score in two of them. That makes it six home Champions League games without a win. Last week saw Atletico lose at home to bottom-of-the-table Levante, making it two losses in the last four. Atletico won at Osasuna at the weekend but are fifth in La Liga so could miss out on the Champions League next season.
Manchester United are fourth in the Premier League and strengthened their Champions League qualification hopes with a 4-2 win at Leeds United on Sunday. United won their Champions League group, finishing ahead of Villarreal. They made hard work of it though and had to come from behind in four of their six games. Over 90 minutes, Manchester United are unbeaten in their last nine games. On their travels, United have gone eight games without defeat. Back them to return to England with either a win or a draw. A side bet on both teams to score looks a good one to make.
