Milan are the defending Serie A champions but begin the weekend in fifth place. They host Juventus who are struggling for wins and only seventh in the Serie A table. Milan have 17 points from their first eight league games. That puts them three points behind Serie A leaders Napoli. Five of their eight games have been won with the only loss being at home to the side top of the table. That defeat ended a run of six straight home wins in Serie A and an 11 game unbeaten run. Last weekend saw them win at Empoli 3-1, three goals in that match were scored in second half injury time, including two by Milan. Midweek didn't go well for them in the Champions League with a 3-0 loss at Chelsea. They have a few injuries at present, so check the line-up before placing a bet. Nine of their last 12 home league matches have seen under 2.5 goals scored. This home game against Juventus looks like being a tight affair.
Juventus are still looking for their first away league win of the season. Three games have produced two draws and a surprise loss to Monza. Just three goals have been scored in those matches and only one by Juventus. They are four points behind their opponents and the top four. A loss here would see a sizeable gap created between them and Milan. Juventus have won three of their eight league games but four have ended all-square. Just one of their last four league games has ended in victory. They do have a good record at Milan with only one loss in their last five league visits. Juventus are not the side they used to be though but did their first points in the Champions League on Wednesday. Go for under 2.5 goals to be scored and a side bet on a home win.
