Who will succeed, Bayern Munich who overflew the debates during the 2016/2017 season and won their 5th consecutive title? Or Leipzig, a real surprise last year will confirm this season? Can Dortmund reach the top of the leader board and aim for a title? This new season of the Bundesliga is likely to be hot and we cannot wait to see what it will give!

The teams to follow

As in the last five years in the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich is in danger of hurting again, who are still thirsty for titles. The men of Carlo Ancelotti are also effective before they are solid behind and possess all the qualities to be, once again, crowned champions of Germany. It will also take a close look at the performances of Leipzig which surprised everyone last year and achieved a magnificent season by taking the place of second in the championship. Only this year, Emil Forsberg's team-mates will be expected to do the same and will not have the right to make mistakes. Dortmund, who has strengthened with the arrival of Peter Bosz, and Hoffenheim, will try to play the holiday troubles and mingle in the fight for first place. In the bottom of the standings, the performances of Wolfsburg and Mainz will be scrutinized under the microscope, who were luck to not be relegated last season.

Betting Tips

All just promoted, Hanover and Stuttgart will play their lucky chance to try to survive in this championship. Even if nothing says that these teams will play the bottom of the classification, they will clearly not have the necessary weapons to jostle the hierarchy established in Germany. For their part, Wolfsburg will have to do much better than last year to avoid a fright repeat in the season 2016/2017 which almost knocked the death knell of Paul-George Ntep's teammates. Finally, Mayence also disappointed by alternating the good and the worst in his season. They will have to stabilise their results in order to build a comfortable mattress and not flirt with the relegation zone.

The statistics

Once is not customary, the legend that hovers over the Bundesliga is not one! Yes, the goals are raining off the Rhine, yes, the nets tremble more than elsewhere, and yes, and it is possible to profit! Indeed, the German championship is the only one to systematically count more than 50% of matches with more than 2.5 goals over the last 10 seasons! 56% in 2015-2016, 51% in 2014-2015 (worst season in 10 years), 61% in 2013-2014, 56% in 2012-2013 and 2011-2012, 57% in 2010-2011, and so on.

With an average of goals per game regularly exceeding 2.80, there are even traces of seasons at 2.92 goals per game on average, or even 3.16 in 2013-2014! Spectacular figures when compared with those of the other major European championships, and which speak of very different mentalities in Germany: indeed, the German formations play above all to win, rather than not to lose!

This 2016/2017 season is no exception to the rule since the German teams have averaged 2.8 goals per game! The Germans know how to adjust the sight and have a disconcerting ease to find the way of the nets. This will allow you to head to bets such as +2.5 goals often offered at pretty odds of 2.00 or more. When we know that this year 37 matches have reached the score of 2-1, this only confirms what we have already mentioned above and these figures should convince the bettors in their choices.

The Bundesliga has a nice home victory rate of 48.2% against only 26.7% of victories outside. Bayern Munich (76%) and Dortmund (76%), but also Leipzig, who has a good percentage of home wins with 70%, are betting on their teams. Hertha Berlin and Hoffenheim were not to be outdated either this season with 70% and 64% success rate at home respectively.

Finally the Bundesliga will allow you to bet on scorers who are relatively efficient. We obviously think of Robert Lewandowski who has scored 30 goals this season or Timo Werner, the young Leipzig forward who has 21 goals to his credit. So especially if you had any doubt, do not hesitate any more.
