NFL BETTING TIPS AND PREDICTIONS

    NFL Tips

The 2016 NFL season is the 97th season in the history of the National Football League (NFL). The reigning champions from last years Super Bowl, the Denver Broncos, played their Super Bowl opponents, Carolina Panthers. Last years Superbowl was Superbowl 50 as it was the 50th Superbowl since it started. For the 50th anniversary the Lombardi trophy was gold. The Broncos were the ones who claimed it after they dominated the Carolina Panthers in Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Preseason training camps were held in late July through to August. Prior to the start of the regular season each team plays 4 preseason exhibition games, beginning on 11th of August. The 64 game preseason ended on the 1st of September with the regular season commencing a week later.

This season, some huge names have decided to retire. Athletic freaks like Charles Woodson, defensive back for the Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks' running back Marshawn Lynch, and most notably, Peyton Manning, Former quarter back for the Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos. His retirement came a month after lifting the Lombardi trophy with the Broncos. Peyton had a long and rewarding carreer, playing 17 season, 13 with the Colts and the final 4 with the Broncos. He made 4 Superbowl appearances, 2 with Indianapolis and 2 with Denver, winning 1 with each. He is regarded as one of the greatest in the history of the NFL.

Although a lot of well known guys have retired, a lot more than mentioned above, the competition is still as fierce as ever and has not been diluted one bit with the loss of some truely great players. Some new, potentially game changing players have just been welcomed to the NFL. Laremy Tunsil, Joey Bosa, Ezekiel Elliot, Carson Wentz and Corey Coleman are but a few of the many many people to look out for this season.

With the commencement of another year of the NFL, it brings with it a few rule changes. Nothing major just a few changes to existing rules so no need to panic. Minor things like allowing the offensive and defensive play callers on the coaching staffs to use coach-to-player communication system regardless of whether they are on the field or in the coaches' booth. Another one is making the act of calling a time-out when not permitted to do subject to delay-of-game penalty (5 yards). These are just a few of the new rule changes that have been introduced. More changes have been made and are subject to become permanent or scrapped in 2017 depending on how good they prove to be. One such example is if a player commits 2 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in the game, they are automatically ejected from the game. This was brought into affect following Odell Beckham Jr. commiting 3 personal fouls against cornerback, Josh Norman, without being ejected. The rule is being referred to as the "Odell Beckham Rule".
