Football UEFA Champions League betting odds

This week sees the semi-finals of the Champions League take place with only Spanish and German representation. Bayern Munich meet Barcelona in the first semi on Tuesday 23rd April and then Borussia Dortmund play Real Madrid on Wednesday 24th.

Bayern Munich, last season's runners up face the 2011 and 2009 champions and between these two giants of the European game they have between appeared in the last 4 finals, although Bayern have lost both compared to Barcelona's two victories.

Bayern Munich had a far more comprehensive quarter final victory as they won both legs 2-0 against Italian champions Juventus whilst Barcelona drew both legs against PSG and only qualified on away goals. Worryingly for Barcelona this season they have become even more over reliant on Lionel Messi and in the quarter final when he was off the pitch they lost 3-1 and when he was on they won 2-0. Messi is fit for the first leg but without him his side struggled to beat Levante in the League last weekend.

In the other semi final Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid meet for the third time this season in the Champions League after the two played in the group stages home and away. Dortmund won their home leg 2-1 and were 2-0 up before drawing 2-2 at the Bernabeu. Dortmund are the only unbeaten team left in the competition but Madrid are the form team in Europe having beaten Barcelona twice in the space of a week last month.
